Soldotna Impact Group Japan Trip The nation of Japan is going through great change and transition. The Christians in Japan are about 1% of the population and growing fast. They have many struggles to overcome. Their lives are steeped in tradition and idolatrous worship that is embedded in their Hindu culture. The Christians and young people are influential in bringing change. They understand the idolatrous oppression and generational spirits that try to shroud their thinking every day of their lives. Living a Christian life is a daily, tedious mind battle for them. The people of Japan are often times structured and “in the box” thinkers. The Holy Spirit has often used me to take them out of that place and find new treasures in Him. • Please pray that God’s prophetic words and word of knowledge will flow freely during my travels, for His sovereign work is much more effective than anything I might say or do. • Please pray that the Lord will give me His message for Japan that I can take wherever I go. He did this the last time I was there and it was marvelous and made my busy schedule much easier! However, God didn’t give me the message until my first night in the nation. I leave on Monday for Japan and He has not given me this revelation yet, so I am praying, praying, praying for His insight. • Please pray that my physical body will remain healthy and I will have the stamina to fulfill my itinerary with power and grace. I arrive in Osaka on Tuesday, the 15th of September and will have two days rest and then begin a women’s retreat on Thursday evening. I will be ministering with Lana Heightley from Colorado Springs and Wendy Yapp from Australia. I believe there will be some divine connections while I am in this area. • On Saturday afternoon I will travel with Wendy to Nagoya and will be speaking in a church that has mostly Phillipino and African people in it. I will be spending a week in the area ministering and be the main speaker at their annual church camp from Thursday through Sunday. • On Monday morning the 28th, Wendy and I travel to Tokyo where I will be meeting with the national Aglow board for dinner. • On Tuesday Wendy and I will be speaking with Aglow leaders for the day, and late afternoon I will be saying good bye to Wendy and I will be whisked on to the Shinkansen rail system for a 90 minute rail trip to Koriyama, where I will be meeting with a young woman who is an apostle for the nation of Japan. • On Wednesday, I will be meeting with her women in the morning, her intercessors for lunch and then traveling another two hours to Aomori where I will be ministering in an Assembly of God Church in the evening. This last leg of the trip is a very important part of the trip. Please pray for me. I will be traveling alone and it is a very busy schedule, with some times two meetings a day. • On Sunday morning I will be returning to the Aomori Baptist Church. Six years ago was my first visit to this church and God did a marvelous thing. The church was going through transition and there was disagreement within the church as to the direction they should be going. Prior to leaving Alaska, the Holy Spirit told me to bring a large spike with me and He would show me what I was to do with it when I got there. I brought it to that church, giving them a “confirmation and sign” that they were to rebuild the church and enlarge it. They drove the spike right at the place where the pulpit sits today and they have anticipated my return to speak to them and stand in that spot once again. Please pray that I will have the right message for this group of people. • On Monday morning the 4th I travel back to Tokyo and stay with a missionary by the airport, leaving for America the next day. Thank you for taking the time to read this long message. I so appreciate your prayers and support. Love to you, JoAnne |
